The MF 1739 does not have an enclosed cab or wind shield.
Mounting on the ROPS and Fender
Because the ROPS does not line up directly above the fender you need to make an extension mounting frame. This will get the bracket more in line and level.
You will want to place the mount on the right-hand side of the tractor. The bucket controls are on this side and you enter and exit the seat on the left side.
Using 1/8” X 2” flat aluminum bar, cut it to 18 inches.
Bend the bar at the 4” line, then the 5” line and again at the 4” and 5” lines. This will create a rectangle frame of 4” X 5”.
You can now aluminum weld the joint but it is not required as the bar is sufficiently stiff.
Next using the “310VT Effective Vehicle Transport Gun Rack Mounting Bracket“as a template mark out the four mounting holes on to one of the 4” sides. Drill out with a 3/8th” drill bit.
On the other 4” side, drill two 3/8th” holes equally spaced. These will be used to mount the frame to the ROPS.
Now straighten out and square up the frame.
Using “Self-Etching Aluminum” primer, paint the frame in two coats of paint.
Using “Flat Black” paint, apply two coats of paint.
Using 4 each number 8 x 12 ½” bolts mount the 310VT to the frame with the bolt heads on the side of the mount. Now use a number 8 split washer and nut, firmly attach the bracket to the frame.
Mark the two ROPS mounting holes centered on the ROPS so that the TOP of the 310VT is 31” above the fender top.
Drill the two mounting hole locations on the ROPS with 1/8th” drill. Using two number 10-16 ¾ self-tapping bolts mount the frame to the ROPS.
Once the mount and bracket are in place, install your rifle and mark the fender where the butt stockholder will sit.
Center the butt stockholder on the location marked out and fasten using a number 10-16 1/2 “ self-tapping bolt. Be careful not to get too tight or the bolt will go through the rubber holder.
